iPODI Germany scholarships

The second call for applications is open until 15 December 2014. A further call for applications will follow in 2015.

 

Between 2013 and 2018 the International Post-Doc Initiative (IPODI) of the Technische Universität Berlin awards 21+2 two-year fellowships to international female researchers in three internationally open calls. IPODI is part of an initiative (Wissenschaftlerinnen an die Spitze) that aims at increasing the number of women in leadership positions. IPODI addresses outstanding female researchers regardless of their nationality or age and is open to applications from all fields of research represented at the TU Berlin.

The second call for applications is open until 15 December 2014. A further call for applications will follow in 2015.

IPODI has received funding from the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under grant agreement no 600209 (Marie Curie Co-funding of Regional, National, and International Programmes).

IPODI is mentioned as a good practice example for the internationalization of research at German universities in the following publication by the German Rector’s Conference: HRK (Hrsg.): Auf internationale Erfolge aufbauen. Eligibility

In order to enter the selection process applications have to meet the following criteria:

• 
  
  The applicant has at least two and not more than ten years of research experience after obtaining her doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent), in exceptional cases an extension of up to three years is possible.
  
  

• The applicant did not reside or carry out her main activity in Germany for more than 12 months in the three years prior to the call deadline.

• The research proposal fits into one of the fields of research represented in one of the TU Berlin’s seven faculties and is supported by a cooperating professor of the TU Berlin.

IPODI is a postdoc fellowship program for experienced female researchers.

• Your application must be submitted in English before 15 December 2014, 23:59 CET.

• Information must always be saved bevore leaving a page or logging off the application form.

• Incomplete applications and applications in languages other than English will not be considered.


• Do not use special characters, HTML-encoded characters or Greek characters.


• Formatting of characters (bold, italics etc.) or paragraphs is not possible. The formatting of text prepared using a word-processor and pasted into the fields will be lost.


• Please use only PDF files with letters (a,b,c…z), numbers (0,1,2,…9) in the file name (no spaces and no special signs). Each file should be smaller than 5MB. Password secured files will lead to an incomplete application.
