Curtin University has a scholarship opportunity for a Ph.D. student to research in the area of hydrogen storage research in The Hydrogen Storage Research Group (HSRG) within the Department of Imaging and Applied Physics at the Bentley campus in Perth Australia. The HSRG is part of the Fuels and Energy Technology Institute (FETI), a premier research institute at Curtin. The student will investigate hydrogen storage materials confined within microporous metal scaffolds.

Value
The successful candidate will receive a stipend of $25,849 per annum which will be indexed for the duration of the award. This scholarship will be for three years with a possible maximum extension of up to six months.
If the successful candidate is an international student, the scholarship will cover the tuition fees for the duration of the award.
Eligibility criteria
The successful candidate will:
- have a strong training background in Physics/Chemistry or a related field;
- be highly motivated;
- have strong English communcation skills;
- have or expected to have 1st class honours degree or equivalent;
Candidates with the following expertise (not mandatory) are encouraged to apply:
- Hydrogen Storage Research experience;
- Materials Science background.
